After six years fronting the Denver rock band The Bad Directions, Bradley Weaver has turned down the volume and returned to his americana roots – performing solo at various venues around town and showcasing his talents on vocal harmonies/lap steel/resonator for outlaw country band Ryan Chrys and the Rough Cuts and on acoustic guitar/vocals in Team Weav, a collaboration with brother Brandon (banjo/vocals) and Matt D (upright bass). Born and raised in rural Pennsylvania, Bradley's interest in music was first ignited in high school by oldest brother Randy, and as he grew as a young songwriter, Bradley gained strong influence from Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, Eddie Vedder, Steve Earle, and Glen Phillips. In 1999, Bradley moved to Denver, CO and the Rocky Mountain culture both broadened and fueled his songwriting. Bradley’s upbringing and diverse influences are represented in his songwriting as he writes in many genres including folk, pop, rock, alt-country and even children's music, which is showcased in an album inspired by his niece, Songs for Shirley (& Other Children). He has also landed songs in several prominent music libraries & his music has been used on CMT & PBS as well as local and regional TV advertising. As a performer, Bradley can connect with audiences of any size. He performs with a percussive picking style and a voice that has drawn comparisons to everyone from Neil Finn to Ed Kowalczyk and even 80's rocker Bret Michaels. On rare occasion, Bradley even reprises his role as Billy Joe Armstrong in the Green Day tribute band The American Idiots.
