Wüden was founded as Scufflemöss Treemen’s musical outlet in 2018 in an attempt to join Nashville’s music scene. Previously Wüden Boï, at the time of its conception, was a Dark Electronic solo artist incorporating Acoustic Percussions and Theatrical elements into his act. However, at Notaroo 2018, Scufflemöss accidentally summoned an Evil Spirit that, trying his best, the Forest Troll could not banish; and it escaped into the city of Nashville, Tennessee. Treemen performed two more shows as Wüden Boï singing covers and show tunes in 2018, both at his own locally curated shows: Trick or Troll Featuring Nashville Metal acts Ophiuchus, Iraconji, and Stump Tail Dolly; and at Mistletroll, with local Murfreesboro and Nashville bands Trigger Digit, Flesh Eater, Thunderfrog, Big If True, and The Mad Gear. Treemen came to the realization that he alone couldn’t trap the Spirit that he set loose, and sought out more help in Tennessee’s vast forests. He first found The Dingo, a shamen and guitarist, who shared an ancient connection to the Evil Spirit. While traveling with The Dingo, Scufflemöss had an encounter with Bassist and Space Feline, Daddy Cat, from a distant planet where electric powered music was banned. Daddy Cat formed an alliance with the odd duo and went with them to perform the ritual. Along the way, the group came across the recently escaped hitchhiker Flurpis, Drummer and son to a wealthy, Mega Church family with a curious facial disfigurement, anuses for eyes. All the while the party was being shadowed by the mysterious guitarist, Zopi, a Birdman from unknown origins. Musically, Wüden takes inspiration from Norwegian Black Metal, French Jazz, American Punk and Sludge, and Latin percussion, with stage elements inspired by Shock Rock legends GWAR, and Green Jellÿ, an ever evolving mythos of engaging characters and crowd participation, a Wüden performance isn’t just a show, it’s a unique experience you won’t soon forget.
