One day my dogs Maverick and Fin ran away from home. They ran away so far they ended up in a big big city with tall skyscrapers.

So hungry from all the running they decided to steal a bowl of macaroni. The restaurant worker scared them, so in a rush Maverick and Fin ran into some brush.

They didn’t get caught so they had a great thought.... “Let’s see how far we can get into the city before we get caught.”

As they adventured away they found themselves in a parade. Tractors, clowns, and big heavy sounds they decided to get away. The scent of the food on the hotel room smelled so strong it made the dogs go woof.

Climbing up the stairs the scent got stronger. They wanted more food to fill their bellies and hunger.

When they got to the top they heard someone yelling. “Get out of here dogs, you’re stinky and smelly!” As they dashed away. Falling down some steps they almost didn’t get away. Looking back they saw security. “Whew Fin, that was a close one.” Maverick said laughing.

Alec, Trinn, Tinley, Laney, and Rhett worried about their pets. Mom and Dad getting everyone set. Loading the jeep and big silver truck. Where could those dogs be, as everyone let out a big shrug. Yelling Maving and Fin out the car windows! Soon enough we found them at an arcade. “What are you doing? You have no shame.”

Maverick and Fin were so tired and soon realized they missed their family and their home. Dad said, “Maverick get in the truck, Fin you’re riding in the Jeep with me.” Dessie the Yorkie barking, “Buckle up, you naughty dogs!” Later that day, Fin and Maverick learned their lesson to never run away.
